Seni çok özledim göresim geldi
Burnumda tütersin canım Sivas’ım
Hasretin bağrımı ok gibi deldi
Sevdadan betersin canım Sivas’ım

Dört Eylül başımda bir altın tacım
Ata’mın izinde bal olur acım
Göğümde meşalem, derde ilacım
Sen bana yetersin canım Sivas’ım!

Sen bu güzel yurdun narin şehrisin
Yurda kem bakanın keskin zehrisin
Ozanların yüreğinde bahrisin
Veysel’ce tütersin canım Sivas’ım

Kubbeler kasırlar canlı şahitler
Uğruna can verdi nice yiğitler
O civan balalar, şanlı şehitler
Şana şan katarsın canım Sivas’ım!

Dağlarında süzgün rüzgârın eser
İnsanın düşküne yardımı sever
En sıcak en cömert, misafirperver
Kalbimde atarsın canım Sivas’ım!

Kepenek suyunla yüreğim sönsün
Madımak silkinip çiçeğe dönsün
Çifte minarede mahyalar yansın
Cana can katarsın canım Sivas’ım!
